what is internet?

internet is the worldwide network where machines like computers, servers, and smart devices are connected together and will be used for communication and exchanging data purposes.the Internet is the network of networks interconnecting computing devices which located throughout the world. These networks use some communication protocols to link the network devices with each other.

World Wide Web(WWW)?

www refer to world wide Web,it is a system of interlinked, hypertext documents accessed through the Internet. It enables the retrieval and display of text and media to your computer.The World Wide Web is based on several different technologies that make it possible for users to locate and share information through the Internet. These include Web browsers, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP).

How to set up Internet?
the internet is a global network of computers. So, each computers connected to internet mush have unique address which is called IP address. this are some explanation of IP address.IP address is a numerical label assigned to each device connected to a computer network that uses the internet protocol(IP) for communication.every computer have different IP address. An IP address serves two principal functions: host or network interface identification and location addressing. Ip address must be in form of nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn (nnn must be a number between 0-255) here are example of ip address : 123.456.789.012.

Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Local Area Network(LAN)

ISP is a company that provides individual and other company access to the internet and other related service such as website building and virtual hosting. ISP require some equipment and telecommunication lines access to be able to presence on the internet on the area served. For example in Brunei Darussalam,company that offer ISP is  Telbru, DST and PCSB. usually for ISP, the IP address are set temporary but if connected from local area Network (LAN), our computer might become permanent IP adress or temporary one from a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DCHP) server.

lastly is to connect one of the internet connection below and open internet application such as Mozilla or Chrome. Type domain that you're willing to serve to such as Facebook.com or Twitter,com

Types of Internet Communication:-
Cables-cables provide an internet connection through a cable modem and operates over cable television lines. Different speed depending the use either uploading data transmission or downloading.The speed range for using cable are between 512k - 20 Mbps
Wireless-Wireless or can be called as Wi-Fi doesnt require any telephone lines or cable to connect to the internet. Instead it use radio frequency.Wireless can be access anywhere by not pass through the limited area. The speed of WIFI is between 5 - 20Mbp
Satellite-Satellite acces the internet via satellite in earth orbit. This may provide delay connection compare to using cable. Speed of satellite are between 512k - 2Mbps

ISOC is internet society which is non profit organization to provide leadership in internet related standard,education,access and policy by enchancing and supporting internet use for organization and individual worldwide
